Okari GX is built and operated by Okari Systems, an Okari Group brand powered by the Biz Dev App platform. We are an applied-engineering team focused on hydrocarbon custody verification — the moments where physical movement meets accounting, payment, taxation and dispute.
Why we built this
The hydrocarbon transport network — from refinery to depot to vessel to truck — runs on paper. Bills of lading, hand-stamped tickets, after-the-fact volume reconciliations. The result: billions of dollars in fuel theft, ghost transfers, tax leakage and disputed handoffs every year. None of it traces back to a primary source that operators, regulators and underwriters can trust at the same time.
We started Okari GX to close that gap. Not with another reporting layer, but with cryptographically signed evidence generated at the asset itself — the truck, the tank, the terminal — fused, hashed, anchored and surfaced in a single operator console.
What we do
Okari GX is a layered operating system, not a single product. The platform stack runs from edge hardware to ledger to operator dashboard:
- Sensor fusion at the asset — Coriolis flow, smart valve, pressure, temperature and GPS, hashed and timestamped before they leave the equipment.
- Satellite-resilient comms — flat-panel uplinks across deserts and frontier routes, LTE failover, 48-hour offline cache.
- Immutable custody ledger — sovereign-node option for petroleum authorities and treasuries that need to host their own chain.
- AI visual verification — edge-processed cameras that bind frame hashes to the ledger so video evidence survives compression and tampering.
- Smart compliance and settlement — contracts release payment, insurance and customs clearance only when every signature lines up.
How we are organized
Okari Systems is a wholly-owned operating brand under Okari Group, which sits inside Biz Dev Holdings. The Biz Dev App platform — our parent technology layer — provides the core ledger primitives, identity layer, AI orchestration and partner network that Okari GX is built on. Our engineering team works alongside the Biz Dev App protocol team, the Black Letter Attorneys network for legal infrastructure, and a roster of fractional security, hardware and cryptography partners.
Where we work
Okari GX maintains a US engineering hub in Houston, Texas and a regional implementation team in Accra, Ghana — the launch country for the first sovereign custody node. Field deployments are active or planned across Ghana, Nigeria, the Gulf and selected US Gulf Coast operators. See Our Locations for the full list.
Standards and certifications
The platform is built to align with the standards every serious operator and regulator already references:
- API MPMS and OIML R117 for custody transfer
- ADR, IMDG and IATA rule packs for hazardous transport
- OFAC, EU and UK sanctions screening
- ESG telemetry for carbon intensity, water and methane
- Post-quantum signature scheme on every signed bundle
- Tamper-evident video and seal log
What is next
The platform is in pilot deployment with terminal operators and a national petroleum authority. We are accepting a limited number of additional pilot partners and channel partners through 2026. If you operate a fleet, a terminal or an underwriting book that touches refined products, crude or LNG — request a pilot and we will respond within one business day.
